Oh man, that Christina Applegate knows the way right to my disco ball encrusted heart. On the “Samantha Who?” season premiere (Oct. 6, so far away!), Sam teams up with her mother for a dance competition, a la “Dancing with the Stars,” which just so happens to be “Who’s” lead-in. Gotta love that corporate synergy!
But it gets better: The reason Sam and Regina – played with reckless abandon by the brilliant Jean Smart – say “So I Think I Can Dance” (also the name of the episode) is because Mom must beat Paula Drake, her oldest nemesis, to the title. Fantastically, Paula is played by Cybill Shepherd! Sequins, Shepherd and Smart, could things get any better on ABC this fall?
